The Hyacinth Macaw is on the endangered species list, it is the largest of all parrots, weighing as much as 5 lbs. and measuring almost 40 inches with a wing span of almost 4 feet!. It is a rich blue color with a fleshy yellow accent around the eyes and beak that give it a most striking look. What else stands out about the Hyacinth macaw is its gentle nature.
These tropical birds make their home in Brazil, they are also found in Bolivia and Paraguay.
