I was born and continue to live in Canada. Being mostly a self taught artist, the closest I came to a formal art education was a correspondence course I took while still in my teens, but nonetheless I found the course to be very helpful in my artistic pursuits.

My interest in art started at an early age and grew through the years. I would draw just about anything and everything, but it wasn't long before it turned to what I have a fondness for, and that is animals, especially dogs.

After spending a few years painting in oils I switched to watercolor to avoid the clean up time and fumes so characteristic of oil paint. While looking for the right painting medium for me, I took an interest in pen and ink which continues to be what I feel most comfortable working with.

Recently I began painting in acrylics and am looking forward to making more paintings with this facinating medium that I'm enjoying very much. Besides painting with a paintbrush, I also "paint" on the computer.
